This book has some of the most real and raw and wounded characters I've ever fallen in love with, but I think that's why I love them so much. Trust me that, although there are obstacles and struggles that cut to the heart of every woman, this book is one of love and hope and friendship and selflessness of epic proportions. As I sit her and think over this beautifully emotional book, tear stained cheeks, I want to start it all over again.

Abi finds herself with no hope left.The pains and quilt of her life are just too much for her to handle and she finds herself running back to the one place where she felt peace. The lake, where she grew up, where she holds memories of a loving family and where she first found love. On a missions to do good for others and then move on. She hadn't prepared herself for running into Sam Forrester on her first day of return, or the feelings that he so quickly brought back to life.


Sam has flourished since Abi left town, a successful doctor with a loving wife and the sweetest little girl. What more could a man ask for? Time... more time to spend with those he loves. Trying so hard to always put on a brave strong front when you know that happiness will never look the same.


Can one find hope to live and love again? Do people really get a second chance at life? Can one tragedy be the beginning of something beautiful?


Ms Leighton has just the right way with words and drew me in from the very beginning of this book. I couldn't put it down. The emotions she brought forth while reading were very strong, from laughing with a little girl to sadness of understanding the worst kind of loss. Loneliness and then such love and happiness. I don't know how she does it so seamlessly.


This is one of those books that you must not miss out on.
